The other KAl "SFC"

I found the start I made last year of the "Traditional Fair Isle Jumper" by Joyce Williams yesterday in my stash. I started on it last winter. When I looked at the photo in the book I liked the fact that the background color lookes almost white or offwhite, but when I ordered the wool at J&S that background color looks much darker. It looks in fact like honey and that's what this color is called.
I have also made a swatch of the Celtic Knot Raglan, it looks great though I say so myself.
I will be posting pictures as soon as I get my new camera on wednesday.

Frogging again!

Sunday january 15.
I started again (third time)with the right front panel of Am Kamin. I had some trouble with chart C and frogged it, just that chart in the whole panel. (sorry no photo's yet)
But it's not so good for the yarn so I started again. Almost finished the bottom band.
One of my problem in this band is that the crossing of the cables does not show as nice as in the photo in the book, so I crossed it one needle sooner than I should have. It certainly looks better that way.

first time!

This is my first entry on a blog that is mainly set up to take part in two blogs, to show pictures of my knitting quilting and tiffany work and to see if I will take the time to update regularly.
